About me

I am originally from Italy, but I live happily in Sweden since January 2000, except for a couple of years when my husband and I went working in Paris. I have been a scientist all my life. I have a PhD in cosmology and I have been working with some of the most prominent international collaborations, that discovered that the Universe is currently accelerating in its expansion, driven by a mysterious force. Scientists, who have a taste for fancy names, called it the Dark Energy, and are still debating about its nature, and the ultimate fate of the universe. If you are worried about this, don’t be. Although we have no idea how this is going to end, there is a pretty good chance that our planet will not be around when this will happen.
After years of research in this field, I began to feel the need for something new. Can a cosmologist turn into a blogger about sustainable development?

I am starting this blog because I want to know more about sustainable development, voluntary simplicity, renewable energies, climate changes and ways to a sustainable life. I want to take the blog as a way to push me through the study of this subject that feels so important to me and that I forget too often.
I want this blog to be my guide during this personal project.
I hope you will enjoy traveling by my side.
